Dubravka Šuica
Dubravka Šuica (b. 1957, Dubrovnik) graduated in English and German from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She worked as a teacher and in tourism before entering politics. She served as Mayor of Dubrovnik (2001–2009) and as a Member of the European Parliament. Since 2019, she has been Vice-President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography, focusing on strengthening democratic processes and improving citizens’ quality of life.
