This year’s Congress will be immersed in the atmosphere of the entire City of Rab, with the official programme taking place at several locations in the historic old town as well as in both congress hotels. To ensure you are at the very centre of the events, we have secured special accommodation rates in premium Valamar properties.

Participants who wish to arrive earlier or extend their stay after the Congress can contact the Valamar call centre directly after making a reservation in one of the offered hotels for the conference dates (6–9 May 2026) via email: callcenter@valamar.com

1. Imperial Heritage Hotel, Valamar Collection 4*

This historic hotel is located in close proximity to the old town and some of the Congress venues. It is an ideal base for participants who wish to enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Rab while staying near all major city events.

Important Information for Participants

Reservation condition:
Accommodation reservations can be made only after submitting the participation application and after the registration fee payment has been recorded.

Individual reservation:

Extended stay:
Participants who wish to arrive earlier or stay after the Congress should first make the basic reservation (6–9 May), and then contact callcenter@valamar.com to extend their stay.

By registering for the 7th International Congress on Rural Tourism, you secure full access to all professional and social programme activities.

Professional programme and materials:

  • Official registration for participation in the Congress.
  • Access to all presentations, panels and professional events.
  • Publication of your paper in the Conference Proceedings.
  • A package of materials and congress publications.

Social programme and networking:

  • Official opening ceremony of the Congress with an accompanying programme (May 6, 2026).
  • Evening gatherings and a rich accompanying programme (May 7, 2026).
  • Gala dinner for all participants (May 8, 2026).

Catering services and professional excursion:

  • Working lunches and refreshments during all breaks.

Registration notes:

  • The stated participation fees are mandatory for all participants and accompanying persons.
  • Payment is a prerequisite for presenting a paper at the Congress.
  • Group benefits: For 3 or more persons from the same organization, a 15% discount is granted, and for 5 or more persons a 20% discount per participant.
  • Proof of status: Participants entitled to a reduced fee (family farms – OPGs, students, retirees, previous winners of the award “Sunflower of Rural Tourism - The Sunflower Award”) must provide proof of status.

Registration conditions:

  • The stated amounts apply to all participants and accompanying persons.
  • Payment is a prerequisite for participation and for presenting a paper at the Congress.
  • Each person, including accompanying persons, must register using a separate form.
  • In case of absence from the Congress, the paid fee is non-refundable.
