Graham Bell

Graham Bell has management and collaborative roles with a range of organisations, partnerships, initiatives and projects across Europe. Examples include cultural heritage (Board Member of Europa Nostra; Founder of the Hungarian Renaissance Foundation), world heritage (Advisor to National Trust; Director of Cultura Trust, UK), endangered heritage (Europa Nostra / European Investment Bank Institute ‘7 Most Endangered’ programme), dissonant heritage (Trustee of the Buzludzha Project Foundation, Bulgaria), economic development (Steering Committee of the Davos Baukultur Alliance, hosted by the World Economic Forum), sustainable tourism (IMPACTOUR Horizon project consortium, UNINOVA Lisbon), traditional skills (Klesarska škola, Brač), digital (UNESCO Chair in digital cultural heritage, Cyprus University of Technology), social capital (Iona Community, Scotland) and futures literacy (Institute of Advanced Studies, Kőszeg, Hungary). He is a specialist consultant to the Council of Europe (advising national co-ordinators of European Heritage Days), project manager and mentor. He was UK national co-ordinator for 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage, working with the European Commission.
