Sunčana Glavak
Sunčana Glavak (https://suncanaglavak.eu/) graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb and from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, where she obtained a master's degree in journalism.
During her studies in journalism, Sunčana Glavak started to build a journalistic career. She worked as an announcer, presenter, and editor at Croatian Radio Čakovec and gave her author's stamp to numerous radio shows. For her journalistic work during the Homeland War, Dr. Franjo Tuđman awarded her the Homeland War Memorial.
He continued his career on Croatian television by opening the Third Program. She worked in the correspondence offices of Čakovec and Varaždin as a daily editor and presenter in newsrooms, economic, sports, and mosaic programmes, and as a journalist and collaborator in the sports newsroom of Croatian Radio. After moving to Varaždin Television, she worked as an editor of the entertainment programme, as a host of sports shows, and as a journalist and reporter. She is the author of more than 200 shows about ethno-heritage called "Vu srcu te nosim," at that time the most watched shows on the VTV television programme, and the documentary series V.I.P.
For her television work, she received numerous recognitions and thanks, such as those from the Varaždin Stock Exchange, numerous municipalities and associations, the Diocese, and many others.
Since December 1, 2019, Sunčana Glavak has been a member of the European Parliament.
She is the president of the women's football club "Katarina Zrinski" in Čakovec.
