The Croatian Tourist Board is a national tourist organization that was founded to create and promote the identity and reputation of Croatian tourism in the country and the world. The activities of the Croatian Tourist Board include planning and implementing a promotional strategy, proposing and implementing promotional activities that are of common interest to all entities in tourism, and raising the quality level of Croatia's entire tourist offer. For years, the Croatian Tourist Board has been one of the most prominent partners of the Congress.
Along with the partners, the main sponsor of the Congress, Hrvatske šume, should be highlighted. The mission of this Company is to ensure sustainable, integral management of state forests throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia in an ecologically sensitive, economically efficient, and socially responsible manner toward society as a whole and the company's employees. Vision, on the other hand, Hrvatske šume wants to be the leading trading company for forest management in the region, which will raise citizens' awareness of forests as the national natural wealth of the Republic of Croatia, and promote the principles of sustainable development.
The Central European Initiative (CEI) is a regional intergovernmental forum established in 1989, following the fall of the Berlin wall. It gathers 17 Member States in Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe to promote regional cooperation for EU integration and sustainable development. The CEI seeks to fulfill its mission - fostering European integration and boosting sustainable development in its Member States - through political dialogue, multilateral diplomacy, funding, and the implementation of concrete projects and initiatives with a tangible impact on its region.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) establishes and manages global standards for sustainable travel and tourism, known as the GSTC Criteria. There are three sets: Destination Criteria for public policy-makers and destination managers, Industry Criteria for hotels and tour operators, and MICE Criteria for Venues, Event Organizers, and Events & Exhibitions. They are the result of a worldwide effort to develop a common language about sustainability in tourism. They are arranged in four pillars: (A) Sustainable management; (B) Socioeconomic impacts; (C) Cultural impacts; and (D) Environmental impacts. Since tourism destinations each have their own culture, environment, customs, and laws, the Criteria are designed to be adapted to local conditions and supplemented by additional criteria for the specific location and activity.
IGCAT aims to empower local communities by raising awareness of the importance to safeguard and promote distinct food, culture, arts and sustainable tourism assets. This is essential to balance against globalised food trends that are impacting on our planet, health and local economies. IGCAT is a non-profit institute registered since 2010 at the Department of Justice, Barcelona, Spain and working with regional stakeholder consortiums in the fields of gastronomy, culture, arts and tourism. It counts on the expertise of a worldwide network of independent experts and works in partnership with specialised intergovernmental organisations.
Interpret Europe is a membership-based organisation, registered as a charity in Germany. It has more than 800 members from more than 48 countries. Interpret Europe’s mission is: Empowering all who inspire meaningful connections with Europe’s natural and cultural heritage to shape our common future.
Iter Vitis – Les Chemins de la vigne; which unites different destinations and that goes beyond geography. The culture of vine and wine and the wine-growing landscape are a material and immaterial heritage of the community, an essential component of the history of a territory, signs that can be read and experienced: this is the assumption at the base of the European Cultural Route of the Vine and Wine “Iter Vitis – Les Chemins de la Vigne”, promoted by the European Federation Iter Vitis and certified Cultural Route of the Council of Europe in 2009.
BOKU - University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences is one of the best Life Sciences universities in Europe, distinguished by its holistic approach to research and teaching. Our scientists, students and graduates work on solutions for burning social issues and for a sustainable future. Today's BOKU University began its success story in 1872 as a small agricultural university under the name "k. k. Hochschule für Bodencultur". Today, the BOKU locations Türkenschanze, Muthgasse and Tulln offer the 15 departments and 11,000 students optimal conditions for learning, teaching and research.
Grateful to the Partners, we look forward to upcoming edition of the Congress!
