Monika Udovičić
Monika Udovičić is the State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia, with extensive experience in shaping and implementing public policies in the tourism sector.
Throughout her career, including her roles as Assistant Minister and Director General for the system of tourist boards, categorisation and legal affairs, she has played a significant role in the implementation of tourism governance reform and in Croatia’s strategic shift towards a sustainable and competitive tourism model.
Her portfolio covers key areas of tourism development, including strategic planning, EU programmes and projects, international cooperation and digital transformation, sustainable development and public tourism infrastructure, as well as entrepreneurship development, investment and competitiveness of the tourism economy, and the regulatory framework – including the system of tourist boards, categorisation and legal affairs.
She leads the development and implementation of strategic and legislative frameworks, with a strong focus on aligning public policies with market needs, in close cooperation with the private sector, professional associations, and national and local authorities.
She is a regular participant in national and international conferences, contributing to discussions on the future of tourism, with a particular focus on sustainability, resilience and quality-driven development.
