Nikola Grgurić
Nikola Grgurić was born on September 11, 1973, in Berlin. He attended elementary school in the city of Rab and completed a hotel and tourism secondary school in Opatija. He continued his education in the same field at the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality in Opatija, where he earned the title of Graduate Economist in Hospitality and Tourism. He also completed his regular military service, during which he attained the rank of reserve officer of the Croatian Army at the "Petar Zrinski" Croatian Military Academy in Zagreb. Upon receiving his degree, he refined his knowledge as an intern at Imperial d.d., a tourism leader on the island of Rab. After completing his internship, he became the director of the Suha Punta Tourist Resort. His next career step was the position of Director of Hotel Operations at Imperial d.d., which he left in 2015 when he became the Mayor of the City of Rab. He won his fourth term at the head of Rab in the 2025 local elections. He is a member of the Rab City Committee of the HDZ, where he currently serves as president, a member of the Presidency of the Rab County Committee of the HDZ, and a member of the National Council of the HDZ. He is a member of the Presidency of the Association of Cities, the Island Council at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, and the captain of the Croatian national football team of mayors. As of 2025, he is also a member of the County Assembly of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. He was a long-time councilor of the Tourist Board of the City of Rab (from 2003 to 2015) and has been its president since 2015. He is also a member of the "Orkula" Olive Growers Association of Rab, the "Dolin" Sport Fishing Club of Rab, the Rab Football Club, and the "Kristofor" Futsal Club. He lives in the village of Banjol in the city of Rab, is married, and is the father of three children.
