Dalibor Macan

Dalibor Dado Macan, host of the Della Croce b&b in Svetvinčenat in the heart of Istria, winner of the "Golden Sunflower of Rural Tourism - The Sunflower Award" and currently the best rated b&b in Istria according to reviews and ratings of guests on the booking.com platform. Dado was born in Pula, lives with his wife and daughters in Pusti, a small village near Svetvinčenat, and has dedicated a good part of his life to the development and promotion of his region. Active in the social life of the community, he has been involved in sports, destination and development projects for more than 25 years. Together with his team, he is making one of the poorest municipalities in Istria a recognizable and unavoidable point of visit to Istria. In 2020, Dado is completing the renovation project of the Morosini-Grimani castle in the heart of Svetvinčenat, and is leaving the renovated castle as a legacy for future generations and, together with his wife starts his  new adventure of renovating one of the oldest Venetian palaces in Svetvinčenat. The renovation of the Della Croce Palace was completed in August 2022, and its doors open to all its guests, providing an authentic stay experience rounded out by local products, a personal approach, and timeless memories.
