Marko Vešligaj is a Member of the European Parliament from the S&D Group, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM), member of the Committee on agriculture and rural development (AGRI), Regional development (REGI) and the Housing crisis (HOUS). He is the European Parliament’s rapporteur on the situation of farmers and rapporteur for the Gender Equality Strategy 2025. Before his election to the EP, he served as Mayor of Pregrada and as a Member of the Croatian Parliament. His work focuses on strong local communities, fair farming, rural development, housing, accessibility and equality.
