Sunčana Glavak

Sunčana Glavak graduated in pedagogical sciences and earned a master’s degree in journalism. She continued her education in a doctoral program at the University North.

Since 2019, she has been a Member of the European Parliament. She serves on the Committee on Culture and Education and the Committee on the Environment, Climate and Food Safety. In her parliamentary work, she has focused particularly on the generational renewal in rural areas and continuous support for young farmers and women in rural communities.

She is EPP ambassador for the selection of the best young farmer in Croatia for six years.

Sunčana Glavak served three terms as a Member of the Croatian Parliament and was Chair of the Committee on Information, Informatization and Media.

From 2016 to 2018, she held the position of spokesperson for the Government of the Republic of Croatia. Earlier in her career, she served as Deputy Government Spokesperson, spokesperson for the Croatian Democratic Union, and spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture.

She also built a long-standing career as a radio and television journalist and editor. For her journalistic work during the Croatian War of Independence, she was awarded the Homeland War Memorial Medal by Dr. Franjo Tuđman.
