Tomislav Vinković

Tomislav Vinković was born on 15 July 1980 in Osijek, where he graduated from the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek, earning a degree in Agricultural Engineering and later a PhD. His entire professional and academic career has been closely connected to the same faculty, where he advanced from teaching assistant to full professor.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has continuously participated in teaching across the faculty’s study programmes. His scientific work is focused on improving sustainable crop production, with particular emphasis on modern cultivation techniques and production models, as well as the application of biostimulants and biofortification in agriculture.

He is the author and co-author of several university publications and more than 80 scientific papers indexed in international databases such as WoS, Scopus, and CC. As a project leader and collaborator, he has participated in numerous national and international projects and has held a range of organisational roles, including Vice Dean for Experimental Facilities Development and Technology Transfer, Head of the Department of Plant Production, and Chair of the Department.

He is an active member of the Croatian Society of Agronomy, the Croatian Chamber of Agronomists, and international organisations such as IOBC and ECPGR. To date, he has supervised more than 40 undergraduate and graduate theses, as well as two successfully defended doctoral dissertations. He also serves as a reviewer for numerous scientific papers and projects and maintains collaboration with both domestic and international institutions.

His professional work is focused on innovative solutions in the field of crop production and on transferring scientific knowledge into practical application. He is married and the father of three children.
