Mislav Matišić
Mislav Matišić (Osijek, 1989) graduated in geography and history from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Zagreb, and in modern and contemporary history from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. His research has so far focused on issues of rural and regional development, demography, and Croatian emigration and political emigration. In 2015, he returned to Slavonia to actively contribute to development through writing and implementing EU projects in culture and tourism. After many years of engagement in a development agency, he is currently employed as the director of the Tourist Board of Osijek-Baranja County. For the past twenty years, he has been actively promoting culture, tourism, and recreation through his engagement in civil organizations. He has been the initiator and organizer of a number of events and activities in Slavonia and Baranja.
